Introduction

Millions across the country are waking up this morning to the sights and sounds of the Macy's Parade and the aroma of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

They'll spend the day in the company of friends and family and go to bed with a full stomach, ready to brave the hustle and bustle of Black Friday.

But what about those who can't spend Thanksgiving with their loved ones? What about the policeman, fireman, EMT, cashier, or waitress?

Today I'll be travelling across Cleveland County telling the stories of those who protect and / or serve us while so many have the luxury of having the day off.

I also hope to talk with some folks who are enjoying the holiday and ask what they're thankful for this year.

I don't know what to expect but I hope you enjoy the finished product. Check back throughout the day to see where the adventure leads me.
